The Iowa Valley FREE 4-Year-Old Preschool program is funded through Statewide Voluntary Preschool, with no cost to families. We also offer an outstanding 3-year-old preschool program.
Children must be 3 or 4 years old by September 15th in order to be eligible for the respectice 3 or 4-year-old program. The preschool programs are half days and do not include daycare.
4-YEAR-OLD PRESCHOOL
For 4-year-old preschool offer a morning or afternoon preschool program complete with assessment protocols, snacks, and large and small motor development. Preschool meets Monday-Thursday from 8:00-11:20 am or 12:00-3:20 pm.
3-YEAR-OLD PRESCHOOL
Meeting two days per week in the morning, 3-year-old preschool
provides families with an excellent program that includes quality learning activities and experiences.
Due to space constraints, there are no guarantees of preferred day and/or time placement.
Transporation may be available from Iowa County Transportation. Enrollment forms and details will be posted to the Iowa County Transporation website annually in advance of upcoming school years. For questions about preschool and school transportation, call the ICOT office at 319-642-7615.

4 Year Old Preschool will also include:
- A home visit with the teacher at the beginning of the year.
